Problem :
Kenya's professional services market is fragmented — clients struggle to find vetted, trustworthy professionals, skilled professionals lack a structured platform to showcase their work and attract clients, and property investors have no centralised space to connect with the right people. The existing solutions are either too general, too expensive, or don't exist for the East African market.
Solution :
Creare is a digital marketplace designed specifically to bridge these gaps — connecting clients who need professional services, professionals looking for work and visibility, and property investors seeking opportunities and partners. The platform is currently live at creare.framer.ai, with the foundation built and early users being onboarded as the product expands.
Challenge :
Building a marketplace is inherently a chicken-and-egg problem — you need both supply (professionals and investors) and demand (clients) to make the platform valuable. The challenge is sequencing the growth correctly: building credibility with early adopters, defining the value proposition tightly enough to attract the right first users, and expanding the platform incrementally without overbuilding before product-market fit is confirmed.
Summary :
Creare is my biggest and most ambitious project — a founder-led product that combines my technical skills with a genuine market gap in East Africa. It's live, it's growing, and it represents the long-term vision behind everything I build: using technology to create real economic opportunity for people in Kenya and beyond.
